New Bedroom only Hotel at the Bonnington Hotel

Manahan Planners lodged a planning application by Liffeyfield Limited for the development of a new building for use as a room only hotel located to the front of the Bonnington (formerly Regency) Hotel on the Swords Road in Whitehall Dublin 9.

In summary, the proposal consists of 234 bedrooms spread over 7-storeys over a double basement for car and bicycle parking with the top two floors set back, a cafe and business suite, an external courtyard, and separate waste management facilities.

Dublin City Council decided to request Additional Information. That information was suppied in early March. In response the Planning Authority refused permission. We appealed to An Bord Pleanala and a Decision is awaited. Our grounds of appeal can be read below.
