The Section below contains a Portfolio of  past projects.

The Jervis Shopping Centre was  created  partly out of  the remnants of the Jervis Street Hospital in the late nineties.  Manahan Planners ran the original application to the Planning Authority and prepared a Retail Impact Study in association with that application. The Decision to grant permission was appealed and Manahan Planners were successful in obtaining permission for the development.

The original proposal involved the amalgamation of a number of buildings and a new entrance to the development was created. This  took a monumental neo classical approach and created  a focus for the new centre on Mary Street adjoining Henry Street.

Recently Manahan Planners lodged a new application to place an extra floor of development on the roof of the centre and to create a new entrance to the centre. The design by Donnelly Turpin Architects is contemporary in approach and seeks to create a new vibrant presence for the centre on the street.

This development has not been proceeded with as yet but hopefully will once conditions permit.

We recently advised in realtion to the signage for the "Forever 21"  outlet which opened in the centre in November 2010. This is the first outlet in Europe for this American chain. Since its opening, it has been hugely successful  with Dublin`s fashion conscious  and value conscious youth.

We also advised in relation the signage for "New Look" and this signage was  the subject of an appeal to An Bord Pleanala. Manahan Planners appealed to An Bord Pleanala who  overturned the decision of Dublin City Council to refuse permission for this modest and appropriate signage.
